Job Description: Saint Bridget Catholic Church in Richmond, Virginia, seeks a
full time Assistant Music Minister.  A parish of approximately 2,000
families, its music ministry provides liturgical leadership at over 300
Masses, weddings, funerals, and other liturgies each year.  Alongside the
Music Minister, the Assistant Music Minister will help provide organ and
piano music for liturgies, and assist in the training, direction, and
accompanying of cantors, the Parish Adult Choir, RSCM based Girl and Boy
Choirs, and Gentlemen’s Choir.  Our music staff includes per diem organists
and pianists, as well as a part-time music administrator.  Parish instruments
include a recently restored circa 1925 Steinway “M” and a new John-Paul
Buzard pipe organ, which has received rave reviews for its tonal finishing.
The successful candidate will be an experienced organist with accompanying
skills and some knowledge of choral direction. This is an ideal position for
a recent graduate of an Organ or Church Music program to gain experience in
all aspects of music ministry while continuing to develop musical skills.
Compensation is offered at $30,000 per year with benefits, and the
