Job Description:
First Congregational Church right in popular Downtown Stamford, CT is looking
for trained singers that are able to lead our church service in the role of
cantor/music worship leader. Male or female voices welcome. Must be able to
read music very well. College trained musicians desired. You’ll work with
the church choir and music ensemble. We are looking to continue trying out
new singers during the summer services.

One weekly Sunday rehearsal/service only. Rehearsal promptly begins at 8 AM
and service ends at 11:30 AM. Pay is $120. Music is a mixture of traditional
hymns, classical anthems, and even contemporary Christian worship music.
Repertoire is varied and eclectic. Singers must sight-read very well, be able
to blend in a choral setting, be able to read a choral score, be willing to
come to rehearsal musically prepared with part learned, sing in all styles,
be friendly, a team player, timely, positive and fun.

An audition with the music director would include singing some of your own
repertoire, demonstrate understanding of singing technique, and
