Job Description:
Park Avenue United Methodist Church is seeking to hire a Director of Music to
provide and enable the highest possible standard in worship music.  The ideal
candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable, and rooted in the Christian
faith with a passion for excellence and a willingness to expand the music
program.

This is a part-time position of 15-18 hours per week with salary based upon
experience and to be negotiated at the time of hire.

Duties include: selection of appropriate organ and piano choral music for the
11 o’clock service; supervision of professional and lay-member singers as
well as the 9 o’clock musician; and oversight of musicians for the
children’s singing and hand bell choirs.  Responsibilities also include
performance during special services throughout the liturgical year and church
concerts.
