Event time:

Event description:

Part of the ISM’s Liturgy Symposium

ISM Great Hall, 409 Prospect Street, New Haven

What theology is at work in the eucharistic practice of actual local assemblies? How do liturgical and theological scholars learn to read the theology of these assemblies? Drawing from ritual studies and liturgical theology as well as the Reformed tradition, this presentation will offer one approach to reading local eucharistic theology and discuss the tensions it revealed in a particular congregation.

Martha Moore-Keish is Assistant Professor of Liturgical Studies at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and Yale Divinity School.

Refreshments for mind, body, and spirit will be served.
