Job Description:
We are looking for a fun, dynamic person with wonderful keyboard skills. Excellent sight reading and accompanying skills are essential.
The person would be accompanying the Cantor and congregation on any/all music in the service. Choral skills are a plus, as we would like to potentially revive the Adult Choir that collapsed due to the pandemic, but that is in the future. This can also lead to additional service opportunities once on board.
We need someone who is flexible as we have other musicians and ensembles that are involved in services as well. The person should be able to seamlessly weave tunes from one into the other to keep the musical flow of the service going. The styles of music range from folk to classical, so good keyboard skills are essential.
Services are on Friday nights from 6-7 PM, and occasionally from 7-8 PM. You would need to be there at 5:15 PM for a short rehearsal before the service.
