Job Description: 

Trinity Episcopal Church, located in the heart of Newtown, CT is seeking an alto and bass-baritone section leader to support their respective choir sections and sing solos as requested, beginning as soon as available. We have one Sunday morning worship service at 9:30am (singers arrive at 8:30) and a weekly Thursday rehearsal 7:00-8:30pm. Compensation is $80 per call. Extra services include Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Week (Th, F, Sat, Sun). The choir season runs from September through mid-June. Weddings and funerals may also be available for additional pay.

 

We are seeking singers who are excellent sight-readers with solid musicianship and ideally have the ability to lead sectional rehearsals as needed. The ideal candidate is positive and friendly and will be encouraging and uplifting to our dedicated volunteer singers.
