Alto/Mezzo Staff Singer (New Haven, CT)

Located in downtown New Haven, Christ Church is an Episcopal parish located right in the urban heart of the city adjacent to Yale University. The parish has a longstanding tradition of musical and liturgical excellence and is a supportive and encouraging environment for musicians from diverse backgrounds. The Choir sings for Mass each Sunday morning (9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.; $65/call) and Compline each Sunday evening. (8:15-9:30 p.m. call; $40/call) We rehearse for about an hour before each service in one of finest acoustics for choral music in the area. Additional opportunities include services of Lessons and Carols, a performance of Handel’s Messiah, and additional calls throughout Holy Week. There are no mid-week rehearsals making this an easy commitment for busy students and professionals in the area.
