About St. Andrew’s

St. Andrew’s is a pastoral sized congregation in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, located in Madison, a shoreline town. The mission statement of the parish describes it as “A community inspired by Christ to love our neighbors, act justly and walk humbly with God.” Music is integral to the congregation’s shared life.

During the COVID-19 pandemic the parish has demonstrated resilience and adaptability. However, some facets of our music ministry have necessarily lain dormant. While in-person services have resumed the choir has not re-formed. The congregation anticipates with joy the return of the choir under the leadership of the new director.

The Organ and other instruments

The sanctuary has a Southfield Opus 31 two manual pipe organ (1997) with two separated Great and Swell divisions in the front of the church, and an antiphonal division (2001) in the rear of the church.  There is also an electronic piano/harpsichord in the sanctuary that is used during contemporary worship services.  The choir room has a Yamaha electronic multi voice keyboard and there is an upright Yamaha baby grand in the parish hall.
