DIRECTOR OF MUSIC MINISTRY Summary

 

St. Mark’s Church in Glen Ellyn, an inter-generational and multi-cultural Episcopal congregation located in Chicago’s western suburbs seeks a Director of Music Ministry who will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and presentation of music within the liturgical celebrations and musical life of the parish. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and energetic team member who will build on our strong history of music in worship.

 

St. Mark’s is vibrant, growing, and inclusive. We are rooted in the importance of music in connecting people with each other & God. Our worship provides a broad range of musical content and styles, expressing the whole church – past and present. Our congregation is gifted with many musically talented individuals, offering exciting opportunities for collaboration and mentoring.

 

Our ideal candidate will be a talented leader, choir director, organist, and pianist playing during our English and Spanish language services, have a thorough understanding of a liturgical style of worship, and incorporate a variety of music styles. The position is 3/4 time and includes pension & health insurance benefits.
