The First Presbyterian Church in the City of New York

Dynamic and historic NYC seeks a full-time Director of Music. The successful candidate will be an accomplished organist and choir director who will be responsible for the music at weekly Sunday services as well as special services throughout the year. The 30-voice choir is comprised of 16 professional singers and volunteers. The sanctuary organ is a 5,000-pipe organ built by Sebastian Glück of New York. Worship services follow a Reformed Presbyterian liturgy, and music ranges from Renaissance to 21st C. compositions. A recent congregational mission study supports retaining such emphases while broadening the repertoire. Salary is competitive, and benefits are robust.
