Interim Organist/Pianist Position

The United Congregational Church of Holyoke, MA, an Opening and Affirming Congregation of the United Church of Christ, has an opening for an interim organist/pianist.  Depending upon Covid-19 protocol, this interim position could also include choir director.  

The salary range for this interim position is $12,000 to $15,000 per year, depending upon training and experience.  If the congregation can move back into an in-person choir, the salary would be adjusted to accommodate this added responsibility.  Currently, the responsibilities include working with the pastor for worship planning and playing for the ten o’clock a.m. Sunday worship, special worship services and seasonal worships in the liturgical year, i.e. Christmas Eve, etc.    

United Congregational Church has two worship spaces, the main sanctuary which houses the E. M. Skinner, Opus 322 organ and the Skinner Memorial Chapel that houses a contemporary interpretation of an E. M. Skinner organ.
