Job Description: 

All Souls Parish/The Presbyterian Church of Port Chester, NY, is looking for a temporary Director of Music, beginning May 1, 2019, and possibly lasting through July and August.  This could also lead to a permanent position.

Collaborating with the Minister, the DIrector of Music's responsibilitites are: 

  • Prepare all music for Sunday worship as well as present the music during the worship service.
  • Work with the choir on a week night and before the Sunday service which would include: 
    • choosing music which is in alignment with the choir's capabilities as well as the theme of the worship service.
    • choir rehearsal would involve teaching each part and helping the choir bring those parts together in such a way as to present the song beautifully in worship.       

Hours expected for this position:  approximately 10-12 hour per week during May and June and approximately  6 hours during July and August.
