Seeking a professional who can provide the very best music for our worship and congregational song.   We are searching for someone who can commit for all of March and April 2020 for the below  description utilizing both the organ and piano as appropriate. Remuneration will be appropriate based on experience, skill and commitment. This job is a great opportunity to experience this robust congregation and terrific instruments, possibly extending to the permanent Organist position.
 
Instruments/Music:
 
4 manual pipe organ (custom, not branded) with AGO pedals configuration, in good working condition,  terrific acoustically.  Kawai Piano, in tune and excellent condition
Both instruments are located adjacent to each other, in front of sanctuary to left of altar (no stairs)
Hymnals:  The Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW - red) is used weekly, also available is With One  Voice (blue).
 
Services/rehearsals:
 
Weekly Services:  5:00 pm Saturday, 8:15 am & 11:00 am Sunday services; Attendance ranges from 30-55 on average at each service.
 
7:30 pm Wednesday mid-week Lenten services (March 4 – April 1), uses Evening Prayer liturgy from ELW.
Holy Week: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Saturday Easter Vigil services, all at 7:30 pm.
Easter  Sunday:  Both services traditionally end with the singing of the Hallelujah Chorus from G.F. Handel’s Messiah.
 
Thursdays:  Accompanist for Sanctuary Choir rehearsals.  The Sanctuary Choir sings at one Sunday Service weekly.
 
Support Special Music and Children's choir as requested.
 
Substitute is responsible for selecting appropriate Prelude, Postlude and offertory music. Hymns and Anthems will be provided in advance (at least 1 week)
Additional details:  Funeral/Memorial/Wedding/Rehearsals that may occur, substitute will get right of first refusal.
