Green’s Farms Church seeks a Director of Music Ministry and Organist to grow our vibrant music ministry.   We are searching for an accomplished musician with a heart for ministering to others, who is an experienced organist and choir leader, and wants to be part of a gifted and supportive ministry team.  The Director of Music Ministry reports to the Senior Minister and works closely with the Associate Director of Music Ministry and four choir section leaders. 

We are a thriving multi-generation congregation located 50 miles north of New York City, in the historic and culturally vibrant coastal town of Westport, CT.  Our church campus recently underwent a complete renovation and our four-manual organ, rebuilt and enlarged by Peragallo, was a centerpiece during the planning and execution of these modernizations. 

Among other duties, the Organist and Director of Music Ministry will select and prepare music to enhance our blended worship service through instrumental, choral, and handbell contributions. Weekly commitments consist of one Sunday service at 10 am, a Thursday evening choir rehearsal, and weekly staff/worship planning meetings.

This is a Three-Quarter Time salaried position with generous benefits. The salary range is $50,000 to $60,000.  The time commitment is 30 hours a week from September to mid-June, and five to ten hours a week from mid-June through the end of August. The Organist and Director of Music Ministry is entitled to four Sundays off per year. The salary for this position does not include music services requested by members for personal events such as memorial services or weddings. As such, it is acknowledged that those are separate, for-hire opportunities available to this position.
