Job Description: 

First Presbyterian Church (PCUSA), Marietta, GA, located in the Atlanta metroplex and in the heart of Cobb County, is now accepting applications for the ½ time position of Principal Organist.  FPC Marietta is a liturgical/missional congregation of 1,500 members and enjoys a rich history that spans over 180 years in ministry.  Worship at FPC is celebrated in the Reformed tradition.  Music and fine arts are integral to FPC’s expression of praise.  We currently offer two services of worship.  The 8:30 am service is offered in our historic antebellum Sanctuary.  This service features hymns and anthems led by member of the Chancel Choir, our 1975 Austin Organ II (Refurbished in 2016, new console), and any of our chamber musicians, two adult bell choirs, Atlanta Chamber Brass (in residence), and soloists.  Our second service is offered at 11 am in FPC’s Great Hall and on livestream.  The Great Hall features a new lighting system, new sound system and new livestream system (cameras, etc.).  Music is led by the Chancel Choir, our Allen “Renaissance” (1999), chamber groups, orchestra, bells and brass.  The Chancel Choir offers at least one major work per year and sings every Sunday from August through June.  To find out more about FPC Marietta and its ministries, visit us at www.fpcmarietta.org.
