Job Description:
We are looking for a musically-gifted, spiritually-mature,
Biblically-grounded Christian to lead music ministries at St Andrews UMC
under the direction of our pastor.  The ideal candidate has experience
leading music in a church and is familiar with UMC hymnals.  Our music
director is expected to be at our church Sundays from 9:00 to 11:30 September
to June and 9:30 to 11:30 July and August (no choir during the summer).

RESPONSIBILITIES

         Work with the Pastor to plan the worship services.
         Lead the music portion of worship services.
         Work with our choir selection music and rehearsing. Choir usually
rehearses one hour before service (September to
         June).
         Oversee the maintainance of all musical instruments owned by the
church.

REQUIREMENTS

         Experience leading worship in a church setting.
         Significant skill as a vocalist and instrumentalist.
         Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple stylesand
generational tastes.
         Should be proficient in reading music.
         Should have experience leading teams.
         A lifestyle congruent with the Biblical requirements for leaders
(1Tim. 3:1-7).
