Teresa Berger has newly named as the inaugural Thomas E. Golden Jr. Professor of Catholic Theology at Yale University.  In this position, she will continue to focus her research at the intersections of liturgical studies and Catholic theology with gender theory, specifically gender history.

Professor Berger also worked with colleague Bryan Spinks to organize the 2014 ISM Liturgy Conference, Liturgy’s Imagined PastsMethodologies and Materials in the Writing of Liturgical History Today, held June 15 - 18, 2014.  The conference focused on contemporary challenges in the writing of liturgy’s past, featured 10 speakers, and drew 55 attendees.
