VIEW PUBLIC EVENTS DURING YALE ORGAN WEEK

This summer, the Yale Institute of Sacred Music is offering a unique, educational opportunity for advanced undergraduate organ students around the world to work with some of the nation’s top artists and teachers in Organ Practice. Students accepted into the program will spend the week of June 18-24 on Yale University’s campus in New Haven, Connecticut. Participants will receive daily organ lessons, participate in workshops on topics related to organ literature and church music, study on notable organs at Yale, and in New Haven and its environs, and hear performances by faculty and each other during evening events. Students will encounter organ playing and teaching of the highest caliber and will meet their peers in other organ departments from around the country.

The teaching faculty for the week include Janette Fishell, Indiana University; Martin Jean, Yale University; Nathan Laube, Eastman School of Music; Jonathan Moyer, Oberlin Conservatory of Music; and James O’Donnell, Yale University.

Any student who will be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate in 2023-24 or who has just graduated with the Baccalaureate degree in 2023 is eligible to apply. More information on the requirements and how to apply can be found on the Yale Organ Week website
