Online throughout January and February
That Light in Which I Stood is a short film bringing together visual art, storytelling, and choral music, directed by Joe Lerangis DMA '25 in collaboration with illustrator Simone Hadebe, producer Jeanette Moreland, and the Yale Glee Club Chamber Singers. Texts are excerpted from short stories by author Jamaica Kincaid, and together with the choral music of Fanny Hensel (geb. Mendelssohn), the performance tackles themes of nature, mental health, and gender. Watch the performance on YouTube any time during the months of January and February 2021.
