On Sunday, October 12, Yale Camerata kicked off its 40th anniversary celebrations with a magnificent concert in Woolsey Hall. The much-loved town/gown choir was joined by an alumni chorus, guest musicians, and was conducted by past and present Camerata conductors—founder Maggie Brooks, André Thomas, and current director, Felicia Barber—as well as by ISM student conductors and soloists. The repertoire, which spanned four decades of glorious sacred choral literature, included highlights from Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and works by Dove, Villette, Robles, and Howells.
