Job description: Crescendo Seeks Experienced Ensemble Singers for Baroque Project — The Bach Experience Crescendo Inc., now in its 22nd season, seeking experienced ensemble singers with a passion for Baroque performance practice to join us for our upcoming project, The Bach Experience – Choral Music for the Spirit. We are looking for skilled, collaborative singers who enjoy working in a mixed ensemble of dedicated amateurs and professionals. The ability to sing with a straight tone and stylistic sensitivity is essential. Since our founding in 2003, Crescendo has specialized in historically informed performances with period instruments. Under the direction of Christine Gevert, who studied and performed extensively in Chile and Germany (including with the ensemble L’Arpa Festante), Crescendo has become known for artistic excellence and authentic interpretation of Early Music. Repertoire: Bach – Mass in G minor Bach – Cantata 151 Double-choir motets by Friedrich Weissensee, Georg Otto, Leonhardt Schröter, and Michael Praetorius (Pitch A=415, tuning: Kirnberger III) Rehearsal and Performance Schedule Venue 1: Trinity Church, 484 Lime Rock Rd., Lakeville, CT Venue 2: Saint James Place, 352 Main St., Great Barrington, MA Thu, Dec 4: Evening rehearsal – Lime Rock, CT Fri, Dec 5: Evening rehearsal – Great Barrington, MA Sat, Dec 6: 1:00 PM call, 4:00 PM concert – Great Barrington, MA Sun, Dec 7: 1:00 PM call, 4:00 PM concert – Lime Rock, CT Additional chorus rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at 6:00 PM.
