Job description: with over 400 years of tradition, warmly invites singers to join us for our upcoming Lenten Concert. We are currently seeking Sop Section Leader to support our choir. We’ll be playing with amazing guest organist, string quartet, youth choir, and other guest soloists. Also, if you want to just sing as passionate choir singers who love this repertoire and want to collaborate with us. All voice parts are welcome! We foster a community of musical fellowship and artistic collaboration in the greater Milford area. We’d love to hear from you and have you join us for this beautiful musical journey! Schedule • Rehearsal (Please attend one of the two available sessions that fits your schedule - March 18, 7-10pm or March 27, 6:30-9:30pm) • Concert: March 28 | Call 3:30, concert starts at 5pm (1 hour duration) • Repertoire 1. Josef Rheinberger – Stabat Mater, Op. 138 2. Gabriel Fauré – Requiem, Op. 48 *note- You WILL NOT sing no.4 Pie Jesu. Youth ensemble will sing instead. • Who We’re Looking For • Section Leaders: Skilled musicians to lead musically from within the section. Strong sight-reading and choral experience preferred. • Choir Singers: Anyone who enjoys making music collaboratively. Prior experience with this repertoire is a plus, but not required! • Most Importantly: A love for choral music and a positive, flexible attitude. Compensation is for Sop section leader: $250 (2 calls total = 1 Rehearsal + Concert) Travel reimbursement is available if you’re outside CT.
