Job description: St. John’s Episcopal Church, West Hartford, CT seeks an organist interested in developing sacred music skills within an ambitious and supportive parish enviornment. The organ scholar will work with an RSCM-based Choir School and semi-professional Adult Choir. Previous experience in choral accompaniment and hymn playing are required. The organ scholar is expected to serve as prinicpal organist for the 10:30 AM Choral Eucharist and occasional Evensongs throughout the choir season (September-early June). As a mentoring position, weekly duties will be flexibly tailored to the strengths and desires of the organ scholar.
