Job Description
St. Mary’s-in-Tuxedo Episcopal Church in Tuxedo Park, NY seeks a tenor for its professional quartet. Strong sightreading skills and and the flexibility to sing a variety of repertoire from Renaissance to contemporary are crucial. Experience in singing Anglican chant and traditional choral repertoire in the Anglican tradition is a plus. The season runs from the first Sunday in Advent through Trinity Sunday, with rotating solos throughout the summer. Regular Sunday schedule: • 8:30-9:30am pre-service rehearsal • 10am service • 11:30am-12:30 post-service rehearsal Compensation: • $125 per service Additional services: • Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday with the occasional funeral or other special service. St. Mary’s is a little gem—a historic church with Tiffany Studio windows, situated just inside the beautiful grounds of Tuxedo Park.
