Job Description:
Auditions now being scheduled for a tenor section leader at First
Congregational Church in Old Greenwich, CT, located approximately 3 blocks
from Old Greenwich Metro North station. Thursday evening rehearsals 7:30-9
p.m. Sunday warmup at 9 a.m. 10 a.m. service, done by 11 a.m. or shortly
after.

Lovely, warm, welcoming congregation, open and affirming (LGBTQ friendly)
30-35 voice choir (4 paid section leaders) sings 51 weeks a year, Thursday
rehearsals Sept to early June. Christmas Eve (No Christmas Day services,
unless on Sundays), Holy Week (Thursday, Friday, two services on Easter),
Music Sunday (currently 2nd Sunday in June), Harvest Sunday (Sunday prior to
Thanksgiving), and Messiah (Part 1 - second weekend in December, with
professional orchestra and nationally known soloists) are mandatory.

Solo opportunities in worship and concerts, often with instrumental ensembles
(added compensation for concerts/rehearsals). Highly regarded music ministry
program of 4 vocal and 1 handbell choir, as well as First Music & Arts
concert series. $90 per call. Music is traditional but blended to include
classical, gospel, contemporary, world music, and some non-sacred.
Someone with a car is preferred, but train transportation on Metro North
