Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Manages the overall development of a spiritual music and
worship program and the ongoing operation of the Union Baptist Church Music &
Arts Ministry.  The primary functions of the Director of Music are to prepare
for and direct the church music ministries.  Additional they provide some
oversight of the drama and dance ministries and those leaders. The Director
of Music and Arts is a professional employee who works closely with the
Pastor and provides supervision and director for all church musicians and
choirs.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Proven experience in choral directing and church music.
Conferred or in the process of completing Bachelor’s Degree in music/ music
education is preferred.  The person shall be capable of presenting a well
rounded, balanced approach to music in public worship, as well as directing
to the musical needs of the choirs.  Competent in reading music and also play
by ear is an advantage. Proficiency in pipe organ is attractive
