Job Description: St. Ignatius Hickory, a large, vibrant Catholic Community of
Harford County, is searching for a part-time Assistant Director of Music.
Keyboard (piano and organ) as well as vocal skills are essential to the
position. Primary responsibilities will be coverage of the two Saturday
evening Masses. The 4:00 p.m. Mass is traditional with organ and cantor. The
5:30 p.m. Mass is ministered by the Parish Contemporary Band. The
Contemporary Band rehearses regularly on Tuesday evenings. Additional duties
throughout the year include all major Holidays and Feasts as well as
occasional coverage of Sunday Masses, funerals and weddings throughout the
year. Instruments include a Hook and Hastings organ in the Historic Church
and a Rodgers Infinity Organ and baby grand piano in the Parish Church. The
position could also be available for only the Contemporary Band and possibly
