The Yale Institute of Sacred Music is the premier interdisciplinary graduate center for the study and practice of sacred music, worship, and the related arts. Founded with a core focus on the Christian tradition of sacred music, the ISM also seeks to engage with other forms of sacred art and religious traditions. We partner with Yale Divinity School and the Yale School of Music, as well as with numerous departments at one of the world’s great research universities. Over 120 faculty, staff, students, and visiting scholars and artists comprise our dynamic community.
