The ISM offers a number of grants to support student participation in music competitions, professional events (conferences), summer language study, collaborative projects, and for Colloquium presentation research and/or performances. Each grant has specific guidelines and allowable expenses, as detailed below. Grant application forms a must be accompanied by proposed budgets (list of expenses), and submitted well in advance of proposed activities in an email to Rachel Segger or by hard copy to her in Miller Hall (Rm. 201). Students will be notified when their applications have been approved. Grant payments will be made in the form of reimbursements for approved expenses. Receipts must be submitted for each item.

Grants for YDS Students
The ISM offers two grants to all YDS students in the MAR concentration in liturgical studies or religion and the arts (you need not be an ISM student to qualify.) To apply, please complete the appropriate grant request form with budgetary and program information as requested, and submit it via email to Rachel Segger or by hard copy to her in Miller Hall (Rm. 201). You will be notified if your request is approved. Payment/reimbursement is made upon completion of the event or course.
Professional Event Up to $500 to defray travel, accommodation, and registration expenses for conferences at which the student is invited to deliver a paper or serve on a panel. No more than two such grants are given for students in the two-year program, and three grants for students admitted to the third year.
Summer Language Study Up to $3,350 to defray tuition costs for summer language study (with no more than 10% applicable for travel or lodging costs). No more than one such grant is given to any student.
