Health and Safety Guidelines for Voxtet:
- Singers are required to wear KN94 masks, which will be provided each day
- Vaccination is required, and will be verified before participation
- Masking is required at all times, with the exception of individual lessons with Prof. Taylor
- Voxtet unmasked individual voice lesson requirements:
- All unmasked voice lessons will take place in the ISM Great Hall
- Unmasked singer remains 15 ft from masked teacher and masked accompanist
- HEPA air purifier in front of teacher and unmasked singer
- Teacher may remove mask only when demonstrating
- Unmasked singer near an open window with box fan facing out
- Voxtet masked voice coaching requirements:
- All masked voice coachings will take place in Prof Taylor’s Hendrie Studio or Sterling Music Studio
- There are no distancing requirements for masked coachings, but a minimum of 6 feet is recommended
- No additional health and safety equipment is required
- The following campus locations are available to Voxtet students as practice spaces:
- Sterling Music Studio, reservation required
- YSM Practice Rooms, reservation required in ArtsVision
- Miller Hall Music Studio, reservation required
Recital Recording Information:
- First-year Voxtet students will perform recitals in Marquand Chapel, recorded and streamed by the ISM
- Second-year Voxtet students will perform degree recitals in Morse Recital Hall in Sprague, recorded and streamed by YSM
