Only one audition is required to be considered for membership in all listed ensembles.

Yale Camerata
Marguerite L. Brooks, conductor
- Choral ensemble of approximately 60 singers, with a special commitment to new choral music
- Open to experienced singers who are Yale students, faculty, staff, community members
- Course credit available to graduate students
- 2015-16 repertoire includes major works by J.S. Bach (a cantata from the Christmas Oratorio) and Igor Stravinsky’s Les noces ; works by Arvo Pärt (in honor of Pärt’s 80th birthday) and others.
- Camerata’s chamber chorus of approximately 24 singers will premiere a new piece by Robert Sirota (scored with string quartet) and perform English and Italian works of the 16th century
- Guest conductor 2015-16: Matthew Halls, new artistic director of the Oregon Bach Festival
- Tuesday evening rehearsals
Yale Schola Cantorum

Masaaki Suzuki, principal guest conductor
- Internationally renowned chamber choir, specializing in music from before 1750 and the last hundred years
- Open to undergraduate and graduate students
- All singers receive a stipend of $5500
- 2015-16 repertoire includes Monteverdi Vespers, masses of J.S. Bach, and Arvo Pärt Passio
- 2016 international tour to Tallinn, Estonia; Riga, Latvia; and St. Petersburg, Russia
- Performances in New York and domestic tour to Portland, Oregon
- Recording session of commissioned piece by Roderick Williams
- Guest conductors 2015-16: Matthew Halls, new artistic director of the Oregon Bach Festival; and Simon Carrington, Schola’s founding conductor
- Monday and Wednesday evening rehearsals
