Films at the Whitney supported by the Barbakow Fund for Innovative Film Programs at Yale. Presented with the Initiative for the Study of Material and Visual Cultures of Religion, the Program in American Studies, the Film Studies Program, and the Department of Religious Studies.
Professors Ron Gregg ( American Studies, FilmStudies, and LGBT Studies) and Sally Promey (American Studies and ISM) join Dr. Marie-Therese Maeder (Postdoctoral Fellow) in a post-screening discussion filial piety and romantic love, aging warriors and Asian Benevolence, comedy and drama, green cards and clumsiness in the kitchen.
