The Charles Ives Organ Recital
The Ives recital is given annually at Center Church on the Green by the winner of the School of Music’s Charles Ives Prize, named for the composer who served as organist at Center Church during his undergraduate days at Yale. The prize was established in 1981 during the tenure of Jack Litten as organist/music director, around the time of the inauguration of the church’s Fisk organ (Op. 54).
