Alex Whittington M.M. '25 conducts and sings at Camerata's "Out of Time"

Pictured here, Alex Whittington M.M. ‘25 demonstrated multiple talents at the October 14 Yale Camerata concert, “Out of Time.” A Yale College alum, Alex is a first-year choral conducting student at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and Yale School of Music as well as being an assistant conductor of the Camerata. Alex led rehearsals of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Summer Is Gone” and took the podium for Saturday’s performance. They also sang the tenor solo in Hall Johnson’s “Ain’t Got Time to Die,” a rousing spiritual.

Alex said, “Getting to be a part of “Out of Time” was galvanizing from start to finish. School can feel especially busy at this time of year, but singing with Camerata and being a part of this community always feel so restorative. I’m grateful for everyone I have met and I’m so excited to continue preparations for Advent!”
