Job Description: 

BASS SECTION LEADER, Saint Luke's Parish, Darien, CT, for adult choir of professionals and volunteers. Begins Sunday, September 11. $230 per week (Thurs & Sun calls) + $230 per monthly Saturday Evensong and other non-Sunday services. Beginning January, this will become $240/week and $240 per Evensong & non-Sunday service. Repertoire is rooted in the Anglican choral tradition.

Saint Luke's Darien is an affirming, socially conscious, family friendly congregation located 2 minutes off I-95 by car, and less than 5 minutes from two train stations on the Metro-North New Haven Line, (less than an hour train from Grand Central or 45 minutes from New Haven’s Union Station). During the course of the entire pandemic, Saint Luke’s made the commitment to retain all staff singers and other contracted musicians at full pay, regardless of the ability to perform in person.
 
Rehearsals are Thursdays 7:30-9 PM & Sundays 9-11:15 AM; compensation is $230/wk. Additional Evensong one Saturday per month ($230/call 3:30PM - 5:45 PM), and calls for various Holy Days throughout the season, (each non-Sunday morning service paying $230/call). Weddings, funerals, and other special events, which can be quite frequent, provide opportunities for additional compensation.
