Director of Music 
Full-time 

St. John’s Cold Spring Harbor seeks a creative, curious, and courageous candidate for Director of Music to lead us into our next musical era in our parish life. We are a lively and active Episcopal congregation on Long Island’s beautiful North Shore easily accessible to New York City by train. Our growing church is blessed with young families, devoted long-time parishioners, a growing youth program, and a strong sense of community. 
 

This transition comes after a 33-year long commitment by our previous director of music to musical excellence which is the centerpiece of our worship life. We look to call a Director of Music excited about nurturing and growing a multi-generational parish choir that is a ministry of and to the congregation while continuing to support and train a new generation of singers. We are hoping to widen our musical vocabulary under the leadership of our new director. 

We are partners with many community performing groups that serve as assets in rebuilding and expanding our long musical tradition including local youth orchestras, a vibrant music festival, a concert series, and several choirs.
