Job Description: 

The Parish of Saint Maximilian Kolbe in Thomaston/Terryville is seeking a Part-Time Music Director who will oversee the music for Three churches (Saint Thomas in Thomaston, Immaculate Conception and Saint Casimir in Terryville). Responsibilities include Four weekend Masses, Weddings/Funerals, SATB well-seasoned Adult choir and newly formed youth choir. Holy Days and occasional special events at the discretion of the Pastor as well.

-        Applicants must be proficient in organ and possess the ability to select appropriate organ literature. 1 Austin small unit pipe organ, a two manual Rodgers, and an older Allen.

-        Have a good understanding of Roman Catholic Liturgy and how to implement suitable music during the liturgical year.

-        Beneficial if the candidate is comfortable in the role of Cantor.
