Interim Music Director/Cantor/Choir Director

Saint Leo Parish is seeking a part-time Music Director to lead the parish music program staring on March 4th until a permanent music director is appointed. The music director will facilitate an important liturgical function by serving the parish as principal musician, cantor, choir director, according to the highest professional standards established by the profession.

• Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with parish organist and be able to direct the choir. Keyboard skills are a plus but not required.
• Applicants must have a knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic Church’s liturgical tradition, as well as current liturgical practices and prior experience in a similar role. A degree in music is preferred.
• In addition to the regular liturgical schedule, the music director will coordinate additional services for holy days, sacramental celebrations, weddings, funerals, rehearsals. Availability for all of Holy Week and Easter Sunday is required.

Salary will be commensurate with education, experience, and level of expertise.
