JOB SUMMARY

 

Music is an integral part of the life of this parish. The Music Director exercises an important ministry to our choir members, parishioners, and the community.

 

 

TIME  AND COMMITMENTS

 

The Music Director position is a part-time position at about 6 hours a week. Two hours are on Sunday morning in person (pending pandemic), which includes 1 hour of service time 

9am), 30 minutes of choir rehearsal and 30 minutes for prep and wrap up. The additional four hours may be dedicated to practice done remotely or at the church. There are two paid vacation weeks a year. Any additional service requests such as funerals, Ash Wednesday, and Good Friday are optional and will be paid at $200/service. If not available when scheduled, the Music Director will find a substitute musician, who will be paid for the service.  

 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. The ability to play the piano, read sheet music, and play hymns from the 1979 Hymnal is required. 
  2. The ability to sing as a soloist and play the organ is preferred. 
  3. Applicants must be dependable, compassionate, and creative.
