Music director/organist (Hopkinton, MA)

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Hopkinton, MA is looking for a Music Director to play our Hook and Hastings organ and upright pianos.

This candidate will play both the organ and piano and have interest/ability in directing a small adult choir. This position is available immediately and involves playing for our Eucharistic service at 10 a.m. on Sundays, for a Morning Prayer service on the last Sunday of each month, and on certain Holy Days that may fall during the weekday  (Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, etc.).  This employee may arrange with a substitute organist/pianist to play in his/her stead as his/her schedule requires.

This is an employee at-will position with no benefits and the employee will receive a 1099 form for tax purposes. Payment for Sunday services and for any weekday/other service at which he/she plays is negotiable. (Substitute organist rates may differ.) If a Sunday service is cancelled by the wardens (weather, etc.), he/she (or any substitute organist/pianist scheduled) will be paid.
