Job Description:

Saint James School, an Episcopal boarding school in the Anglo-Catholic tradition located just outside Hagerstown, Maryland, seeks to appoint an organist and choirmaster for the academic year 2024-2025 to begin in mid-August.

Interested candidates should be accomplished organists and choral conductors capable of teaching and conducting a chapel choir of c.24 singers comprised of ninth through twelfth graders. The position also includes instructional duties in the Fine Arts Department: keyboard, voice, and or an academic subject during the school day. Every faculty member advises 5-7 students, partakes of meals with the community at lunch and dinner daily, and is assigned to a weekly duty rotation, so shares in the general supervision of the School.
