Organist/Collaborative Artist (Niantic, CT)
Niantic Community Church is seeking an Organist Resident Artistic Collaborator. This part-time salaried position will provide music and accompaniment for worship services, weddings and funerals, in collaboration with the Music Minister and other music staff.
The Organist – Resident Collaborative Artist will represent the Church, its mission, vision and values to all members of the Church and the wider community in a positive, energetic and collaborative manner. We are looking for someone who is:
o Highly skilled in both the organ and piano; additional skills in other musical instruments is preferred.
o Experienced in selecting and organizing performance music for Church services and special events.
o Knowledgeable and experienced in performing copyright research for recorded and live streaming events.
Annual Salary: $20,000, with paid time off benefit.
About NCC: We are an Open, Affirming and Reconciling congregation of the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. We are located at 170 Pennsylvania Ave in Niantic, CT.
We have a robust and diverse music ministry, proclaiming God’s Word through the music of our Chancel Choir, Men’s Choir, Bell Choir and Gospel Choir. We gather for worship each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Our church has an Opus 2610 (1977) Austin Pipe Organ with 2 manuals, 20 stops; and a Yamaha CLP 765 Clavinova Digital Piano.
