Assistant Organist (part-time)

St. Bartholomew’s Church

New York City

St. Bartholomew’s Church, a large and welcoming parish with a vibrant, ambitious music program seeks an assistant organist.

The assistant organist will accompany St. Bartholomew’s Choir, a professional ensemble, for Sunday 11am services, seasonal services and rehearsals, and for occasional concerts in the Great Music series.

The candidate will display a high standard of accompanying and service playing within the Anglican tradition, as well as solo literature. He/she will also serve as an assistant conductor for the Choir.

Two Aeolian-Skinner organs (V/225 and II/15).

Compensation is $30,000; estimated average time per week is 16 hours.

Some light administrative duties.

AGO/RCCO certification preferred.
