Soprano and Baritone Section Leaders

 

St. Johns Episcopal Church in Vernon, CT is seeking both a soprano section leader and a baritone section leader from now (February 2024) through the end of June 2024, with the possibility of regular section leader positions from September 2024 through the end of June 2025.   

 

Section leaders' commitment is for Sundays: morning rehearsal from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., the service 10 - 11:15 a.m., and the post-service rehearsal from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.   Additional rehearsals may be scheduled (especially for Lent and Easter) with further compensation.  

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

 

Repertoire includes music from the baroque, classical, and romantic periods, as well as contemporary Christian.  

 

We seek singers who have excellent sight reading skills and a flexible voice for different musical styles.   This is a leadership position, and singers with previous church experience are encouraged to apply.
