Summer/Interim Organist Position (North Haven, Connecticut)

North Haven Congregational Church is seeking a summer/interim organist July 3 through September 4 for one Sunday service weekly, approximately 9:15 to 10:45am (service is at 9:30am).  Responsible for three hymns, a prelude, a postlude, and a short offertory piece (preceding the doxology). Short bits of service music/organ responses are customary as well. Director of Music is available to coach (quickly) on those elements and the order of service in general.  Instrument is a well-maintained Wicks two manual chancel organ. The organist should enjoy hymn playing and they are welcome to play keyboard/piano for certain pieces. An organist/accompanist position may still be available from after Labor Day through Christmas as a permanent organist search continues.  Salary negotiable for that period.
