On Sunday, April 30, Yale Camerata perfomed their annual spring concert, To Sit and Dream,  including works inspired by the music and texts of African American composer Margaret Bonds and author Langston Hughes.

Messiah Sing-Along with Glee Club

On Sunday afternoon, December 4, 2022 at 1:30 p.m., the Yale Glee Club featuring the Yale Symphony Orchestra and soloists from the Yale School of Music and the Institute of Sacred Music will present its annual Handel’s Messiah Audience Sing-along at Battell Chapel, located on the corner of Elm and College Streets on the campus of Yale University. There is a suggested donation of $10 and scores will be available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit New Haven’s homeless.

New Yale faculty member to lead music at Queen’s funeral

In January, James O’Donnell, a renowned concert organist, choral conductor, and liturgical musician, will join the faculties of the Yale School of Music and the Institute of Sacred Music. In the meantime, O’Donnell has important work to do: On Monday, he directs the music for the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey.
