Congratulations to Kristen Forman as she retires

December 30, 2022

Kristen Forman retired at the end of December after twelve years of dedicated service to the Yale Institute of Sacred Music where she served as executive assistant to Professor Martin Jean.  Kristen is pictured here with Dr. Jean at the recent ISM holiday party where she was honored with speeches from grateful colleagues and friends, along with a heartfelt rendition of “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming?” from the assembled crowd.

Dr. Martin Jean described Kristen as someone who seemed to be “genetically engineered” to be a part of the ISM community and who was “woven into the very fabric of the community.” From caring for the students, to supporting faculty, safeguarding academic policies, and supporting all other aspects of the Institute, “Kristin has been at the heart and soul of all we do…in fact, she has been the heart and soul.”

Kristen will be deeply missed by us all. We offer our deepest thanks for all she has done and warmest congratulations and best wishes for all that lies ahead.
