ISM organist wins prizes at international competition

Congratulations to David Preston, M.M. ’24, for his impressive showing at the 10th Miami International Organ Competition, where he won both second prize and audience prize. David’s 25-minute program consisted of Charles Tournemire’s Improvisation on the Te Deum, J.S. Bach’s C Minor Fantasia and Fugue, BWV 537, and Marcel Dupre’s Prelude and Fugue in G Minor, Op. 7 no. 3. The competition, held on February 9, was judged by organists Todd Wilson and Ken Cowan, and University of Miami trumpet professor Craig Morris.
