ISM's Mark Miller in Discovery Orchestra's new television debut

Yale ISM faculty member, Mark Miller, will be center stage in The Discovery Orchestra’s new television debut of Discover Saint-Saëns’ “Organ” Symphony. Miller will be taking the audience on an emotional musical journey as the group’s sixth television special premieres on WNET’s ALL ARTS on Saturday, April 22, at 11 a.m. Viewers nationwide can stream the program from May 1 on AllArts.org;  the free ALL ARTS app on all major streaming platforms and @AllArtsTV on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Those in the New York area may watch ALL ARTS’s 24/7 broadcast channel on Optimum, Verizon Fios, Spectrum and Digital Antenna. 

The Emmy-nominated and Telly Award-winning orchestra consists of virtuoso musicians led by conductor and music educator Maestro George Marriner Maull. It is known for its teaching concerts designed to both introduce audiences to classical music and to impart listening skills. Since 2006, Mark Miller has been a lecturer in Sacred Music at Yale’s Institute of Sacred Music and Yale Divinity School.  Mark is also professor of Church Music, director of Chapel, and composer in residence at Drew University in Madison NJ, and the minister of music for Christ Church (UCC & Am Baptist) in Summit, New Jersey.  Mark believes that music, social justice, and the beloved community are inextricably tied.
