Austin Goodwin Andrews is interested in the discourses among ancient Mediterranean religions during late antiquity, particularly as reflected in art, objects, and spaces. Originally from Hamlet, North Carolina, he studied classical archaeology and religious studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before serving in the Peace Corps in North Macedonia. A field archaeologist, he has been involved in excavations and cultural heritage projects in Israel, Italy, and the Balkans. Since 2019, he has worked and volunteered in museums in New York City.
